"I like brains."
I try really hard to think of the best ideas I can. Yet as hard as I focus on working through a problem intellectually, I'm always more captivated by the things I do when I'm barely paying attention.
This small collection of work showcases the things I made and can't explain. It's a stew of sticky-note sketches, scrap paper doodles, and unfiltered writing.
What causes my brain to react in these ways is probably more complex than I'll ever know. It's a self-indulgent mystery that allows my ego to admire my own work as I would any other artist whose head I can't get inside. What was he thinking? What does it mean?
I really have no idea.
I carried this concept of free-association design into BORED's inaugural edition of five sketchbooks, including my own, titled "Tough Love ".
